Weapon Proposal: Sodium Hydroxide Shatterpack Bolts

The construction of Sodium Hydroxide shatterpack bolts is a simple science. It can be done quite easily with little cost so long as you use extreme caution in handling the chemical itself.

You can use any typical aluminum or graphite bolt for your bow. It's the arrowhead that needs to be specially made.

I prefer a typical "Flat" broadhead,
such as the one in Figure A.

Two small fragile crystal or glass tubes should be soldered or otherwise affixed to the aluminum base of the arrowhead so that they extend slightly beyond the tip (see fig. B).

I've even had luck with this design at extreme ranges, though the result isn't as good as a deep impact hit.
