Incident Report

Date/Time:8/14/03, 1604 hours

Incident: On August 14, 2003, most of the eastern seaboard and Canada experienced a blackout that lasted from three hours to four days in certain regions. We were all led to believe it was due to a technical error. Through several investigations and detailed eyewitness accounts, I can now inform you that the entire blackout was a cover up for a Class 2 zombie outbreak that occurred in the small Pennsylvania town of Matamoras.

At roughly 1514 hours on August the 13th, 2003, an armoured vehicle was transporting samples of the zombie virus from the New York Genetic Research Development Center to a similar plant in San Diego CA. While passing through Matamoras, the truck was hit at an intersection by a police vehicle in pursuit of a traffic violator. Although the virus was secured in a padded metal container, some managed to leak out. The driver of the vehicle and his codriver both sustained broken bones and cuts and scratches and were sent to the local hospital. At approximately 1948 hours both men began to suffer from slight dementia and held a fever of 102 degrees F. The men were also suffering from violent vomiting fits. By 2304 hours, the patients were suffering from numbness, increased dementia, increased fever (106 degrees F) and loss of muscular coordination. By 0219 hours, both men were comatose. The men were pronounced dead by the hospital coroner at 0918 hours.

At 1249 hours, reanimation occurred. The two zombies tore through the entire hospital , killing between eight to 11 employees and infecting between 30 and 38. By 1406 hours, the town was in a state of emergency. Government officials were informed at 1552 hours and ordered the main power grid to be shut down to keep the media away. Once the power grid was down an elite team of special ops (possibly Seals) were deployed in the town and began eradicating the threat. A nonconfirmed number of 42 zombies were destroyed and the town was swept clean top to bottom in less than 48 hours.

Through an anonymous source I have been able to access the general banking graphs for Matamoras and have discovered that many tax free checks were cashed in the local banks in the following weeks (pay off money, no doubt). Further research shows that the town of Matamoras had an abundance of deaths due to West Nile virus for the month of August.
