Incident Report

Base: Plattsburgh, NY

Date/Time: December 21, 2003

Incident: Can't stop for long to report, I've still got work to do.

Since the closure of the Air Force Base, Plattsburgh it has rapidly become a far more rural community. Because it serves as a direct path from Canada into the U.S. proper it is the perfect staging ground for outbreaks. Recently we've had a sharp spike in deaths attributed to animals in the forests surrounding Plattsburgh. There are no real predators associated with this area of the U.S. so I set out to investigate and rapidly discovered signs of a severe Zombie Infestation. Judging by the amount of dead, I could only assume the zombies were well fed, and yet they remained voracious, completely tearing apart their victims to the point of leaving nothing but broken bones behind. I assumed there must be a large amount of them, judging by the lack of remains.

I finally got a break in the form of a partially disposed of corpse. The victim was in his mid-40s and missing his lower torso, but what was left was enough to see clearly what was occurring. Puncture wounds were clear all over the victim's throat. As a result, my speculations turned to the possibility of vampires mutilating the corpse after feeding to make it appear to be a zombie assault. I found several zombie corpses nearby, further suggesting that the vampires had set upon the victim, drank some of the blood and then set a pack of zombies on it. A large commotion of some form happened nearby (I am unsure of what exactly) and the vampires were forced to abandon several zombies and the corpse.
