Incident Report

Agent/Witness: Barbarossa

Base: Dallas, Texas

Date/Time: October 24, 2003/2015 hours

Incident: Received report of several small dead animals in the forested area near a place where homeless people live. Arrived on scene and discovered several mutilated bodies of birds and squirrels. Because of limited visibility, I determined to leave things as they were and return during daylight hours.

Returned to scene with latex gloves and one-gallon ziploc bags. Collected several mutilated specimens as there are a number of things other than vampiric virus in the area that take the lives of small animals.

Homeless man emerged from the trees, looked at me and turned away. This was nothing more than a man who was looking for his next drink. I offered him $20 for information. He told me that a member of their group had been acting very strange after he was bitten by a squirrel a week ago. He said that this man had bitten him the night before. He showed me the bites. I directed my witness to the ER for closer inspection by a physician.

The member of their group in question, Bob (no last name) turned out to be a white male, 5' 10" 130 lbs, in his mid 40's. He wore a green camouflage t-shirt and black "docker-type" pants. Bob looked pale and very ill. He had two small puncture wounds on his upper hand and moved in and out of lucidity. Whether this was from disease or alcoholic issues could not be determined.

0745
Entered the emergency room with Bob. My witness was nowhere to be found. I turned Bob over to the ER along with the ziploc bags with dead animals.

1000
Bob has been infected with Rabies and West Nile. The sampling of animals that I collected corroborated their findings. Animal Control has been notified as has County Health.
