Incident Report

Incident: I have seen 5 vampires and talked with 2 in the Jacksonville, Florida area. Who can I call to report these creatures?

When I came across your Web site and read your description of vampires it really upset me. I was in the US Navy stationed in Puerto Rico between 1992 and 1995, when I met this girl name Ivonne. I thought she was a witch at first, but she had some unusual features that I just explained away. For instance, she did not have any body hair except on her head and that was slowly getting shorter every time I saw her. She had no underarm or pubic hair and I could tell it was not from shaving. She had an extremely strong build and she was very strong. One day she cut herself and the blood was black. I never saw any fangs, but she did talk about blood a few times. I passed it off as something to do with witchcraft, because witches drink blood during rituals. She constantly told me that I didn't really know her and often threatened to kill me if I hurt her feelings. When I told her she could not kill me, she assured me she could because I did not know her other side. Sunlight did not hurt her because she and I went to the beach all the time, but she would only go late in the afternoon, a hour or two before dusk, and she did get sunburned even though she was dark skinned. Her family treated her like nothing was wrong, but people who are into witchcraft have explanations for everything, even someone coming back from the dead.

What makes me think she was a vampire? She bit me on the back once, just a nip. And then she said something about me being inside her now.

Later on, when I started to feel ill and nauseated, I blamed it on the seawater. I felt as if I was slowly dying, so I started praying for the ALMIGHTY G-D to save me from the coma you describe on your Web site. In the ensuing days I felt better and I am not a vampire or ghoul/zombie. But for a long time I thought she was a witch, many people in the Caribbean practice black magic. I know you say it’s a virus, but how can a virus change a person into a vampire and how do they know they need blood?

Do you think Vampires are of demonic origin? Witchcraft and sorcery and pagan cultures have many stories on making vampires and ghouls/zombies.

Regarding the vampires here in Florida: one is a black male with all the features you describe. He told me the reason he was bald was because of cancer. But later that same night I saw him trying to grab a women and when I drove by he let her go and she ran into a nearby club. He roamed the streets for a few weeks, but I haven't seen him in three months. The second sighting of a vampire was a white male who had a strange blue-green pallor and a broken cross burned on his arm just like you describe on your website. The third sighting was a woman built like a tank with a pale odd face. The fourth sighting was a black man who approached my truck from the back and when I turned my head to see who was coming he disappeared like a blur in the other direction. The last sighting was a week ago, a woman who looked like a crack whore and had the same crazy features as number three.

In addition, I have another story about black blood: a man who lives in Aliceville, AL who I've known since childhood cut himself working and his blood was so black I thought he spilled oil on himself. He only came outside early in the morning or right before sunset. One day I was going to visit him but his sister warned me not to go into his trailer. He also has the features you describe in your Web site and is very strong. I saw him pick up a tractor with one hand and unscrew the lugnuts off the front tire with the other hand. His family also is steeped into the occult. I wonder if modern vampires are hiding by starting or joining witch covens and satanic cults that drink each others blood or human sacrifice blood?

Note: I know you say it’s a virus, but one of them spoke to me telepathically and one of the women attacked me in the spirit realm. Are you sure there's nothing supernatural going on? I know scientists traditionally do not believe in demons or the underworld, but I've seen many strange creatures and all the legends say devilish creatures have cravings for blood. I never saw a zombie but I heard about the coast guard incident and zombies attacking people on the beach here in Florida.

I'm been studying vampire legends for about two months because of the increased number of book and movies on the subject. If vampires were not real, why do people all throughout history and cultures make references about them?

Comments from Dr. Pecos: There's no doubt about it, some vampires are capable of establishing a powerful psychic connection with certain people. It's necessary for their survival, because it helps them size up their prey and weed out the vulnerable and the suggestive. Where does this power come from? Vampires have heightened senses and can detect subtle changes in things like body temperature and vocal tension that are unnoticed by most people. But these attributes are rooted in biology and chemistry, so I wouldn't put too much stock in the notion of vampires and the supernatural. Throughout history, vampires have used black magic as a recruitment tool. But ultimately, it all boils down to the survival instinct and the need for blood.
