Incident Report

Base: Cleveland, Ohio

Date/Time: March 10, 2003/0030-0100 hours

Incident: As I was walking home one night I had this feeling of being watched, but when I turned around nobody was to be found. So I kept going, although I was feeling a little nervous. When I turned around for a second time I saw a man walking in the shadows. I could not see his face, but I felt as if I had seen this played out one too many times in horror movies. I started to speed up just a little bit; not enough for him to notice but enough for me to get a little further away. Then I noticed he started to speed up and before I knew it I was running as fast as I could. Still, the man caught up to me and he looked at me and exhaled as if he had got what he wanted. When this happened I thought for sure I was a goner.

The man said "don't worry, soon you will see why I'm doing this," and slowly but surely he moved for my neck and tried to bite me. Luckily, at that moment a passerby came up and grabbed him. The vampire managed to break away and gave me a horrifying look and then he broke the man's arm and the man fell on the ground. When the vampire bent down towards him, I ran. As I ran all I could hear was the man saying "I know what you are, now get away from me!!" Those words have been burned into my memory for they may have been the last words that man ever spoke.

I have not told a soul since the incident for I fear someone might think I'm crazy. But I have so many questions now, like "why me?" And I often wonder who that kind man was and if he survived (I know deep down inside he did not). I hope anyone else who is attacked is as lucky as me and has a generous man to help them out.
