Incident: I apologize for not reporting sooner but we haven't had time here. We found the reason why there were so few vampires here after our massive sweep: they've all moved inland and south, to Central Australia and South Australia. Towns that I visited last year are now ghost towns, and the surrounding farms are for the good part deserted.

Two months ago our HQ was destroyed by over 50 vampires we think. We had no warning. We were to meet to discuss widening our sweeps. I and five others were late and for that reason are still alive. Of the 26 people who had become part of our unofficial organization there are only eight of us left alive (maybe 12 as I cannot get into contact with four others and their bodies were not in the carnage).

The vampires infected everyone, and we were only able to save Connie, Brendan and TJ with the cure. Afterwards, we burnt the house down.

I again warn all eastern states personnel to be on the lookout. The vampires must be migrating back and forth and somehow evading detection. To any personnel living near or to the east of Kalgoorlie, I have heard rumors of old abandoned tunnel systems. Some are connected to old mines, others are concrete and were built as large scale bomb shelters. The vampires may be hiding in them. I'm not sure if these rumors can be trusted so just keep an eye out for any unusual activity.
