I have been trying to find a source that put all those legends/ together into a comprehensive list, labeled with the country and a article to back it up. Unfortunately I have found very little sources that are reliable, or comprehensive enough. Even this site in its forums has little in terms of the folklore listed in one easy to navigate place. I only found about 5 threads dedicated to it (just by searching through the forums, quickly scanning through)

Wikipedia has one, but it still lacking in atleast 75% of its articles, badly in need of work and citation.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_vampires_in_folklore_and_mythology

I'm sure the many experts on these forums can help complete it.

A comprehensive list, that is labeled with dates instead.

Easy lad. This is a strange one to be sure but I think he might come around. This one might be a keeper.

Your post count is highly irregular. It says youve made 16777215 posts, and we're pretty sure youve made less than that. Prophet, Vamp, and myself are a bit suspcious.

It's not a glitch. It's an old php hack. I'm surprised to see it still works on this version board.

Whats a php hack? and why do people use it?

Is there any possible way for there to be some sort of mistake. I'm not using any kind of thing like that to my knowledge... no one else uses my account. (PM me about further information on this matter)

Now lets get back on topic.

lol...you have no idea how much of a bitch it was just to find that stuff. i even went to speak to a couple of local historians and mythology profs.

If you want more info, you'll need to check the mythology on each civilization I referenced and research some other mythological resources. unfortunately, historians tend to look down their noses at any similarity between mythological characters and vampires. so anything you'll find might not be internationally recognized and widely available...or some a lifestyler website.

http://www.vampiretruth.com

Interesting site, has alot of articles by different authors. Its basically a site that goes into vampire mythology/popculture and many different opinions on the vampire subject. I would say give it a look.
