I would say that the nature of the document you read as well as a website which is easily discredited by the fact anyone could and has altered it to appear as so.

As far as the public NEEDS to know, you're right. we don't even exist.

I seem to have inadvertently ruffled the feathers of the “militia regulars.” My response took too seriously what were mostly jocular jibes. I also responded too quickly, without giving other members an opportunity to take aim. This is a lesson learned.

I think folks were just having fun with you and what you said. The "For entertainment purposes only" warning is the only real part of what you're reading. No one can seriously dispute the death date for Grant and no one can contend the document you read is real. It's all part of a clever ploy to confuse spies who constantly seek to learn about our real work. Our real work is so secret even we don't know what it is.

But I'm glad your panties aren't in a bunch. I always find that so uncomfortable. Sometimes I long for the days of loin cloths.

Salem's Lot kinda sucked....

But, I just wanted to say that I don't really have time to explain how the time-shifter works. The incongruous nature of those dates and Mr. Grants' signature is something we should be thankful for. Granted, we were unable to line up the time-line appropriately, but you should be thankful that Earth is a puddle of ooze hurtling three million tachyons through the outer quadrants of our dairy-themed galaxy.
I am fairly busy with my education, so I don't have time to explain why we had to have him sign the document ten years after his death. But you're waving all the facts demanding answers, when it's right there. How COULD we have had the WRONG signature on a document signed a decade after the author's death?! Think about it man! Time-travel! Or was it forgery? Or did we revive him using our most radical brain-tissue fusion medical operation? Fake his death?

As to prevent classified information which, if disclosed amongst the improper audience, would result in a third world war please simply assume the documents were forged.

Time-travel is impossible. Remember that when federal agents knock on your door.
Besides, prying into classified agency information is highly undesirable...I am on your behalf with this issue.

Thank you very much for your interest,
-Tron

Thanks for clearing that up Tron. I didn't want to be responsible for exposing information that might lead to world wars in six different dimensions but you handled it very well.

I find myself wonering if this individual is responsible for the spam I'm getting in my e-mail. The spam spewing asshole sending me the stuff says he got my addy from a word search that led him to this site. So, bloxvf, if you are the person spaming this site's members, you are a low class asshole who really needs to get a real job. You ain't making your fortune with spam. It just don't happen.

If you aren't the one then please disregard the insult as it is intended for the spammer who has a writing style very like your own.

To Ricky Strange. No I didn't spam you, I have 1 posting in the Paranormal Forum, but that's all. Believe it or not, I didn't even plan to respond to the last 4 postings. Sorry you're being spammed.

Since I’m here, I might as well address more posts.

To SGT. Wincal. Although I can't respond to "Ummm..... what?" because I don't know exactly what you mean, thanks for your service to our country. Go Army!

To Tron. You exercise good judgement in assigning a higher priority to your education than to lengthy responses to me. If you haven't learned about Occam's Razor, there's a wiki link to it below. My guess as to the subject cause is simpler: the author made a typo., inverting the last 2 digits of the year making 86 in lieu of 68; he also forgot to research Grant's handwriting and term of office. The fixes are easy, even the office term: the organization could have been formed “unofficially” in 1868, and officially proclaimed subsequently.
You indicated that you didn't like Salem's Lot. This is a matter of taste. I think the plot could've been improved if the town sheriff, instead of leaving town in a panic, would have contacted the FVZA. At least the story would’ve had a happier ending.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam's_razor

To all. Most of the responses assume that I’m trying to denigrate the site, or challenge someone. That wasn’t my intention. I was just suggesting an improvement. Fictitious histories are more difficult to disprove if they don’t contain obvious inconsistencies. Without them, one could be forced to site a lack of corroborative evidence. Since the FVZA, according to the site, was classified in the 1930's, it’s even harder to disprove, since public documents would not be available. I also may have posted my suggestion in the wrong place; I can’t be sure that the document’s author has seen it.

Fictitious? Not by a long-shot. And I'm not being derogatory by shortening my posts.

I don't really have the resources to tell you how ridiculous it is to reiterate the same two points several times.
Yeah, you caught us, there's a discrepancy in the time-line. I'll be frank, time-travel is how we did it.
The only problem here is your inability to grasp simple facts. There is no typo, that information is correct. Arrogance I do not pick up from you, so I won't attempt to insult your obvious intellect and sharp wit.
While we do appreciate your concern for the consistency of our website, we are but volunteers these days upholding a bold vanguard.

Yet, should the time come, I have no doubt that all of us are prepared for whatever should go bump in the night.

And as to our fearless leader's awareness, yes he does see it. He is a very busy person, quite possibly thousands of miles away at this moment....vertically, mind you.

The book, 1st or 2nd TV movie? The 2nd TV movie did , indeed kinda suck. Although there were parts of it that were redeemable. I really enjoyed the book and 1st TV movie though.

I then used a copious amount of mental bleach to thoroughly exorcise my mind of that thought and any other similar thoughts.

Oh yes. Salems Lot is top 3 King Books w/ The Shining and the Stand. Ill Strongly reccomend all 3.

What caused you to dislike the 70s TV movie? The recent version...sure..pretty much crap but I'd be interested to hear what why you dislike the 1st version.

Nope, got me there...hmmm...maybe I actually never saw the original? I watched them some time ago and didn't sit through the entire "contemporary" version. The Salem's Lot I saw was just cheesy, could have been the sequel. I will definitely add it to my list now, and look into getting the book.
And I STILL haven't read The Stand.....I'm behind. Sad
