You know, the red lazer that hits a codebar... Like at the grocery store?

The codebar is just ink on paper. But you need to program the scanner
to recognise the code anyway. Since no actual door would be opened with
these cards, just having a code bar would be cool enough.

A magnetic strip would cost more, the card would require one extra step
of fabrication, but that would look wicked cool, not just cool.

For what the card's going to be used for. You may aswell just print a thick black line across the back of the card and say its a magnetic strip.

If you can find a JPEG of a magnetic strip, you'd get the right kind of gray and all that.

First, yes I know that this is an old topic but still a cool idea. If I could get a medium to high definition pic of the basic card, it would be easy to get personalized ones for people.
