Well, looks like two of our forum members who met over the net have had a face-to-face and it appears that all went well. I'm happy for you guys. I've heard a lot of stories about great relationships starting over the net, and I hope yours becomes one of them.

However, if you're planning to meet someone you only know through the Internet, there are some precautions you should take. I've posted a link to a related article. Some of the steps may seem extreme, but better safe than sorry I say.

Agreed.

I should have added, since we have no minimum age requirement on this site, that different rules apply for minors. Each state has its own age of consent (I believe in Alabama it's 12....just kidding). If you are a minor and hook up with an adult, that adult is committing a felony, regardless of whether or not you consented.

Yeah and then theres some really weird stuff like if two teenagers hook up. But it's all nice and complex enough were you can just assume it's safest to wait till you're both adults.
