Damn, the head of a Sperm Whale? That thing looks like a giant piece of mold!!
He's dead. There is an article about this here.
Pretty graphic photos, there, but it makes me believe that the picture of the hammerhead caught in the hook is kosher. That watermark in the corner is the signature of a (perhaps small, but likely legit) professional picture agency. You can google it, I'm too lazy.
Sad stuff, man...but not exactly paranormal. My apologies for maybe derailing the thread. _________________ Well, Damn! |

I'm the UK connection around here. The Daily Mail is sort of a alarmist middle class newpaper. They are always about 1 headline away from "There are immigrant terrorists under your bed with aids"
It's a running joke that 99% of Daily Mail readers have no experience of/no idea about the things they are outraged by. _________________

Well, yeah. The magnitude of the issue extends beyond beautiful sharks like those....atrocities committed against the world's wildlife are commonly accepted world-wide. I have always loved sharks, and it seriously broke my heart to see those photos. I said they were graphic. Especially after you see the group of them just gliding along so majestically.
So how bout that Chupacabra, eh?

Ya know, people kill 1000s of sharks for every one human killed by a shark. Im a bit of a shark fan too, by the way.
About that chucacabra Tron? Im sure that picture will somehow fin its way into my nightmares... Just glad it's means "goat sucket" and not "human sucker" _________________

People these days could be less aware of their surroundings than a goat. That's a sheep, too! _________________ Well, Damn! |

A school of dolphins can kill a shark.
regarding the first topic... I would go with the decomposed whale... but my mind came to the same conclusion as oturbo. If this was a known species, then surely its remains would tell us which group to categorize this creature. True that in a place such as where this creature has washed ashore, there may not be enough marine knowledge nor technology to figure it out. However, now that this story as well as many photos regarding said creature in this story, has made it onto the web, then surely the right person will come across it and investigate. Such as marine biologist. Or at least the person with the proper knowledge (scientist) could post more answers as to what the creature is, according to their knowledge of life in the ocean.
One thing is certain... the body is far too along in discomposure to be certain of the creature's true identity.
Someone PLEASE tell me... why the F*CK does the creature’s back appear to have been burned!? This freakin baffles the hell out of me!
It's disgusting how patches of the skin appear to be burned and chunks of the skin are missing in places where it would follow the burn pattern. Gross. _________________

It's just black. Like a whale's skin. I know it looks kinda char-broiled but really its just places where the skin hasn't rotted enough to fall off yet. _________________ And it's on through the night

It's a whale.
Seriously... the reason it hasn't made bigger headlines is because someone with basic knowledge of marine biology can take one look at the appendage and tell you it's a whale.
If this was truly some kind of "mysterious" sea creature it would be all over the mainstream news outlets by now. _________________
